Considering the careers these two had, this card might not make a ton of sense. But you had to be there. Jaret Wright was a big deal following his 1997 rookie season, where he went 8-3 over 16 starts and then pitched effectively in the postseason, where Cleveland got within one out of winning the World Series.

It’s worth mentioning that Randy Johnson almost joined the Cleveland Indians in 1998. The team’s pitching rotation that year was struggling, partly because Wright didn’t develop into more than a #3 starter. The Indians were reluctant to trade outfielder Brian Giles, which led them to stick with a rotation that included Jaret Wright, Bartolo Colon, Dwight Gooden, and Charles Nagy. Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out well for the team.
