If you had to guess, where do you think Blue Jays infielder Ernie Clement ranks all-time in postseason hits? More or less than Mickey Mantle?

Infielder Ernie Clement was Cleveland’s 4th round pick of the 2017 draft. He was a good prospect, but struggled with the big league club and was put on waivers in 2022. In 2023, he signed with Toronto and has been a valuable bench player who can play multiple infield positions and whose hitting won’t embarrass anyone.

In 2025, Clement developed into something more than a utility player. While he was still a slightly below-average hitter, his glove at third was one of the best in the game. So good that he is a 2025 Rawlings Gold Glove finalist at both third base and utility.

Then there is this 2025 postseason. He has been starting every game and has hit .391 with a .397 OBP. In total, he has 26 hits over 17 postseason games, placing him third all-time behind 2025 Vladimir Guerrero (28) and 2020 Randy Arozarena (29). Just some perspective: Mickey Mantle had 59 career hits over 65 postseason games.
