From the Field: Laif Palmer, p, Oregon State Baseball
…
Oregon State pitcher Laif Palmer is having…quite a season. While he has not pitched a ton of innings, when he has pitched, it’s been something else. Over 21.1 innings, he has only allowed 10 hits and struck out 16. Good for a 0.84 ERA and 1.031 WHIP. These numbers are not an accident; he is a power arm and very much an MLB draft prospect (Perfect Game has him the team’s #1 prospect for the 2026 draft). The arms the Beavers will potentially be rolling out next season–headlined by Palmer, Dax Whitney, Ethan Kleinschmit, Eric Segura, and Wyatt Queen (to name just a few) can easily rival any in the nation.
