In my growing campaign to effectively battle my burgeoning mid-life crisis, I have been slowly working my way through getting some of the more popular cards that I could not afford when I was a young card collector. Vladimir Guerrero‘s 1995 Bowman’s Best rookie card is on that list. This card landed as the #16 all-time card in the July 2005 Bowman All-Time Hotlist Issue. It’s probably not the investment that some people had hoped for, unless you have a high-grade copy, but it’s still a good card of one of the best hitters of the late 90s and early 00’s. I was able to obtain this card for under $20.

The 1995 Bowman’s Best set is pretty stacked with good rookies, including Scott Rolen, Chris Carpenter, Bartolo Colon, Bobby Abreu and Hideo Nomo. Richie Sexson is another notable Cleveland player who also had a rookie in the set.
