I got this autograph in 2016 when Santa Clara University was here in Hawaii.
Steve Berman had a great junior season with Santa Clara, hitting .297/.432/.466 with 4 HR in 2016. He would be drafted in the 31st round of the draft that season by the Dodgers.
Berman has moved up a level every season since going pro, and spent 2018 playing in High-A. He has some injury issues this season and only got in 96 at-bats, but he hit to the tune of .302/.442/.500 with 4 HR.
For a 31st round prospect, I think he is interesting. He is a catcher who hits. And that’s not nothing.
