Pitcher Art Houtteman was with Cleveland from 1953 to 1956. This was during the latter half of his career, but he still went a solid 34-22 with a 97 ERA+ during that run. He was a member of the 1954 Cleveland rotation that helped the club win an American League record 111 games. That rotation was crazy: Early Wynn (23-11), Mike Garcia (19-8), Bob Lemon (23-7), Bob Feller (13-3), and Houtterman (15-7).

Houtteman had some interesting seasons prior to joining the Tribe. He won 15 games in 1949 with Detroit and 19 more the following season. He was also an All-Start in 1950, his only time being selected. He lost two years to military service, and when he came back in 1952 he led the league in losses, going 8-20 on a terrible Tigers team that went 50-104 on the season.
