Tommy Jew is a sophomore outfielder for UCSB and one of the very best players in the Big West.

Last season Jew hit .312/.386/.454 with 5 HR–great numbers that got him tagged First Team All-Big West.
This was coming off an impressive summer in Collegiate Summer Ball with the Mystic Schooners of the NECBL, where he hit .328/.394/.578 with 8 HR. He was selected the NECBL MVP and Top Pro Prospect Award.
What’s weird: last summer he played in the Cape Cod League and only hit .245/.315/.357 with 2 HR.
Still, coming into 2019 he was tagged by Baseball America to be the Big West Player of the Year and the 10th best prospect in the conference.
And he is hitting like it: .303/.385/.667 with 8 HR. He also is 8 for 9 in stolen bases.
