Collecting Cleveland Indians Topps team sets from 1952-present, as well as post-war minor and major league autographs.

My 1963 Topps Cleveland Indians Set

This set took a little longer than most to finish.

I bought most of the set through a guy selling partial team sets. But he did not have any of the “Semi High” (cards #447-522) or “High” (#523-576), which cost a little extra time and money to get.

Notable cards with elevated PSA Weights (PSAW) include:

  • #8 American League Pitching Leaders (PSAW 3) – I got it for a couple bucks. It has a Yankee on it (Ralph Terry), but other than that I have no idea why it’s more expensive.
  • #228 1963 Rookie Stars (PSAW 4) – I needed it for Max Alvis. But the reason it cost me roughly $10 was it’s also the rookie card of Tony Olivia.
  • #461 Cleveland Indians – Team card.
  • #466 1963 Rookie Stars (PSAW 4.50) – Rookie card of Bill Freehan, who is solid minor star. Ran me about $12.
  • #558 1963 Rookie Stars (PSAW 4.50) – Rookie card of Ron Hunt. Another $10 card.
