My 2018 Cleveland Indians Topps Team Set

This set was easy to put together. Just bought the whole set (Series 1, 2 and Update) all at once.

Note and Key Cards:

• Its a little bit of a bummer that a couple players are not in the set. Roberto Perez is the one that jumps out the most. Even if he was one of the worst position players in all of baseball I kind of expected him to sneak it. Considering he is likely the teams 2019 starts…I guess we will see him in next years set. Josh Donaldson was picked up after the deadline and then signed with another team just a few months later…so I doubt we ever see him on a Topps base card in a Tribe uniform. Both Melky Cabrera and Oliver Perez played pivotal roles on the team this season–which is probably more a testament to how terrible the roster was constructed than anything–but they should be remembered for their excellent contributions. Adam Plutko and Yandy Daiz would have also been nice too.
• When it comes to key cards there is only one that I can see: #US198 Shane Bieber, his rookie card. He has a fantastic 2018 season in both the minor and major leagues and could very well end up being a #2 or #3 starter once he settles in.
