New Arrival: Amed Rosario, if, New York Mets

I really like Amed Rosario. No idea why. I think maybe it’s his autograph, which I kind of dig. Maybe because he is decent hitting shortstop with plus defense. Those are always fun. It helps that his autograph is so cheap that instead of driving downtown to get him in-person during the All-Star workouts I just bought this online for $5.

In 2018 Rosario spent the whole season in the big leagues and hit .256/.295/.381 with 9 HR. Not really great numbers, though he still flashed excellent defense and did steal 24 bases, which isn’t nothing.

One problem is that for a guy who does not have plus power he strikes out too much–with 119 K’s to only 29 walks over 553 at-bats. But its also worth noting that he is still only 22 years old and widely considered to be one of the best middle infield prospects in the game.

I think the future is bright. He cuts down on the strike-outs and adds a little more pop to his game who could easily be a top-tier shortstop.
