Joe Smith has had a fantastic career. But he is a career middle relief pitcher, so it’s easy to not notice.

I got this autograph from Mike Trout…through the mail. There was while, when Trout was in the low minors, he signed TTM. Not really so much anymore, obviously. … Trout recently passed Pete Rose on the career WAR list, with 79.9 over 12 seasons in the big leagues. What is[…]
Del Crandall was in the majors from 1949 to 1966 and is one of the better all-around catchers in baseball history. He was known primarily for his defense, but his bat had more than a little juice to go with his Gold Glove. He almost won the 1949 NL Rookie[…]
After being drafted in the 39th round of the 2002 draft–a draft position not known to make many majors leaguers, he would go on to spend parts of three seasons in the majors–to include an All-Star selection. Rutgers baseball is having a heck of a season. As of today they are sitting atop the Big 10 standings with a 25-6 record, and are riding a 10-game winning streak. One of the big reasons for this is catcher redshirt junior Nick Cimmino
Trent Tingelstad was drafted in the 22nd round by the Seattle Mariners in 2019 out of Louisiana-Monroe. Since being drafted he has done nothing but get on base, with a career .378 OBP in his two seasons in the minors.
Jacob Wallace was drafted in the 3rd round by the Colorado Rockies in 2019 but was traded to the Red Sox in 2020 as part of a package for OF Kevin Pillar. Wallace is a very good prospect, who might very well be in the majors sooner rather than later.[…]
Pitcher Carl Pavano was ranked one of the Top 10 prospects in baseball coming into the 1998 season. While he would never quite live up to that lofty billing, he did have some very nice seasons during his 14-year career.
Do you know who was a pretty good pitcher? Bret Saberhagen.
